well i wish the U.S. would use all that supposed wealth to pay off our 3 trillion dollar debt so I can sleep a little better... you must not have an understanding of international law or economics. the U.S.'s "wealth" is based on Keynesian economics, DEBT-based economics. and besides, the Catholic Church has had since 321 AD to obtain property...the U.S. has only had about 250 years. so your reasoning that the US is richer than the Vatican really makes no sense at all in its historical context

1st of all i can give you a perfect example of not worrying about debt in my favorite sport, football (soccer). See, the top teams take out loans to buy expensive players and knowing that they will accumulate more money, whether through bonds or interest, than the loan interest. Arsenal still owes about 150 million for their new stadium, but they know they can make more money than the loan is costing them, interest wise. Not sure if that example helped, i got more if you want.

OK, let me clarify again.
London and the City of London are two different things. So London has the same power as Yorkshire and such, but the City of London (1 sq mile in size) has VASTLY greater power, much like Vatican City and Washington DC. They have TOTALLY different laws than the country that surrounds them geographically.

Nope that is WRONG. The City of London - is a council run area, and has DIFFERENT but not GREATER powers than other COUNCILS. The laws that govern "the City of London" are NOT different to those that govern the UK that is a LIE.

And to prove it, i wager you £5 to find me proof? Proof that the laws are different not just that the City of London has different powers as a local authority due to london being the centre of British affairs.
