The GOP has been highjacked and dragged back to The Dark Ages. Under Eisenhower there was a sense of balance, if not great equality, because Ike was preoccupied with reining in the Industrial Military Complex (IMC). This is why a U2 was shot down, Ike used them to show Hawkish GOPers that Russia was NOT advancing a huge ICBM program. Unfortunately Ike did fall for the neo-con BS of Vietnam being the start of a Domino Effect, so the IMC ramped up anyway. It's past time to face it and control it.

heres how it goes. obama is half white, so go ahead and stab all the people who think he is a black muslime terrorist in their own bakcs. He has also been proven christian countless times, and all the people who think he is a terrorist, it just shows that u don't have the balls to have a black president. Obama '08

But he DOES have a choice, what is sad is that IF he was a man of integrity who puts his country before his interests, that can in no way no longer be said. He sold himself and his country out and caters to white supremacists who simply cannot brook the idea that a Black American is about to be President. He had a fork in the road and he took the wrong one, with Palin behind him sticking a pitchfork in his butt.

After ALL BUT the last 45 years or so invovling actual oppression of blacks by whites and an ongoing struggle for equal rights and treatment before the law, it is no wonder that most Blacks see THIS MAN as a positive change, but there are so many dumbass white people who seem to think that African Americans would vote for Flavr Flav if he were running. Blacks have been voting for whites since they got the vote. Now they have a candidate they can support. Why so mysterious?

Why so mysterious? I'm just stating something that probably has some fact to it. Don't get me wrong, I'm extremely pro-Obama.

McCain's campaign has been explicitly racist and inciting the ugliest of tendencies among overt white supramcists. You may not see this. As a person who has studied the history of race in America, to me the bells were rung clear as day and quite on purpose by the McCain campaign, and those bells will not be unrung. He gave space for overt racists to be comfortable acting out. His condemnations are too little too late.
