yes!! price make difference, can't complain much if u buy Nikon P5100 with such low price

Too bad they've put a slow aperture lens on it and such a pixel stuffed sensor. Not receiving much light that way and depth of field reduction is fairly limited. Not than any other compact does that better, just the sorry state of today's camera market.

Canons are generally overpriced for the same features as a much cheaper Nikon or Fuji or Panasonic.

Nikons are German.

Nikon and Canon are Japanese. Nikon was born before Canon, and Nikon has been making DSLR longer too. Nikon has better quality, and has lately been the one to introduce the next big thing. I.E, 920k Dot screens. Something Canon copied. Also AF system, the Nikon 51 point AF is much better, even better than the Canon EOS 1ds Mark III, this AF system is something you can find in a D300, (over one third the price as the 1ds.)

And secondly Nikon is manufactured in Thailand or Japan i believe.
Not in China.
