This is a great reminder of the nearly forgotten "custom van" fad of the mid to late '70's. Never saw this movie, but I sure remember some of the vans being displayed for a weekend in the local mall when I was a kid. Though each was different, nearly all had one thing in common, a bed in the back.

Uh oh. Should have written " I remember some of 'these types' of vans being displayed". Didn't see these actual movie vans.:)

Well, let me tell you: having a van and a chick like "Sally" is way more fun with a bed in the back. Okay, so mine was a VW with a thin, plaid foam mattress pad, but it was fun.
