Thanks a lot! I love the comparison of these two giant musical creators, especially in this song. The versions are both beautiful, and it shows how we all realize the search for the holiness of life with the colours of our own personality and experiences. That's the beauty of life. Let's make the most of it in our own way.

I know which track you're speaking of, it's absolutely beautiful. I have been looking for full lyrics of that specific track to no avail because I love how it's put together with the poem. If only I knew how to make a video, I'd make one to put up of that song so all could hear. :\

Nina Simone' s version would be played every day at home after school. It was in the 70's in Dakar, Senegal.
I would love to hear the full version again.
Thanks for posting!

Back in the late 60's and early 70's I used to play Nina Simone records as a daily ritual. The album "Emergency Ward" had this cut of Nina's "live" performance of My Sweet Lord.
On the flip side, George Harrison's "Isn't It A Pity"
I wore this album out!
Fernie1981: If you have the full version of this song, PLEASE post it.
One of the greatest talents of the 20th century Nina could have easily toured with any top world act since the 60's but she CHOSE not to.
A true artist in every sense!
