Total nonsense. This performance of this song, right here, by the man himself, is without equal. His voice is so road worn and flush with the steel of his experience, his guitar picking is golden, and his lyrics are supreme, delivery perfect to the last syllable. I love Willie, but come on man. Why are the ones who decided to leave early so appealing? Not that it takes particular strength to drink oneself to death... but there's something to be said, I think, for burning out instead of rusting.
