I'm always surprised by how tetchy and annoyed Michael 'Hurricane' Fish gets when he is quizzed about this incident. The point is,the Met Office [and their computer] failed to predict the worst English storm since 1707,even a few hours before. Oddly,the French weather service[who used a different computer softwear model] got the forecast more or less correct that evening forecasting Hurricane Force 12 winds in the English Channel.

Not anymore, anyway.

Nobody phoned the BBC to say there was a hurricaine? Yet he said so during the forecast. So was it his subconcious busting through trying to warn us of a hurricaine? The most amazing blatent lie. The only lie that would top it is if he denied that the hurricaine ever happened.

I do have cute little man boobs but although I am not a weather expert I remember that forecast thinking, I bet he is wrong. The next day was amazing trees blocking roads everywhere. We were all out with tractors and chain saws and had the roads open by lunch time.
