Well this is the bowdlerised version of "Have A Whiff On Me" otherwise known as The Cocaine Song, which (I think) was first recorded by Gus Cannon's Jug Stompers. It certainly goes way back - and is even being sung today. I never really liked Lonnie's version - he had strayed too far away from skiffle's roots, too far from Leadbelly and Woody Guthrie, by the time this came out. Its nostalgic though.

Another great one from Mr. Donegan! Love the line near the end "you can make a fortune writing Adam Faith songs". Adam admits he turned it down, so Lonnie kept it and it went to like 4 or 5 on the charts.
