I doubt that this type of thing would happen to Wladimir today. He seems far too well prepared menatally and physically at this point in his career for a slip up like that.

I agree. Wladimir has improved a lot since then on his defense.
It seem like he had an totaly off day.
But surprises like this is what makes boxing so enjoyable.

Hard to say,  since Haye derives his speed not only from quick hands. He does a lot of explosive sprint work and gets a lot of speed from his legs as well.
Haye is very impressive, clever, athletic, lots of talent. His chin is a question mark though.

@ Pr4nk5tr. You nailed it. If David uses his brains, doesn't rush in, and uses pure speed and boxing skill, he'd KO Wlad no problem. Wlad can't handle attacking fighters. If David uses combinations rather than the one big haymaker shot, Wlad will go down. He should avoid Vitali, who's much better. But if he goes after Wlad, with a good smart defence (gloves high up by his chin) using a fast triple jab and he attacks at the right moments David will KO Wlad no problem. Go after Wlad David.
