This version of "Thriller Rag" was recorded at The Harp Hotel, Albrighton, Shropshire, England on Sunday, January 6th. 2008 by the Millennium Eagle Jazz Band. This session saw the first appearance at the Harp by young (I'm told 14years young!) Jack Cotterill on drums. Following in the footsteps of his grandfather, the late great Pete Cotterill, and his father Robert, who sadly died much too young, Jack is already showing he is a credit to the memory of both of them The other members of the band were Brian Bates on cornet, Matt Palmer on clarinet/sax, Andy Holdorf on trombone, Brian Lawrence on bass and Chris Etherington on banjo/guitar. A superb session to start off our New Year of jazz at the Harp. Sessions at the Harp are held every Sunday lunchtime and Tuesday evening. hiya john, its jack here. why cant i embed the video onto my website page? is there something wrong with the video, or have you disabled it? All the best JC
Hi, Jack, Sorry about that but I do disable most of the videos for embedding, I will change it so you can use it. I will be putting the "China Boy" video on soon and will leave it so you can embed it. Thanks for being part of a cracking session on Sunday, see you in 2 weeks. regards John
