Really ? I ran this by a few rebounders who also seemed to be of the mind that jumping from a soft surface onto a wood or laminate floor would not be good to the joints. Perhaps we are misinformed. Would you care to explain why it is beneficial to do so ?
Recent research (Schmitt et al 2009 and Kannus 2005) has shown that high impact exercise is essential for maintaning high bone mineral density and increasing osteogenic responses in menopausal women.
Also, high-impact exercise has been proven to promote skeletal health for all ages and may reduce an individuals risk of falls and fractures (Warden et al, 2004).
I should also mention that the video shows me exercising in a squash court where the floor is sprung, much like an aerobics studio.
