Originally aired in the Granada TV Region on Thursday 3rd January 2008; Matthew Corbett (of Sooty fame) goes on a coast-to-coast journey from the North Sea to the Irish Sea. Today, he starts in his home country, Yorkshire, with a visit to a Cheshire boat painter, before journeying along the Humber and into the integral port town of Goole, and the first leg of his epic voyage ends with him heading back out to the start of the Aire and Calder Navigation.
