The entire original soundtrack to the other version of George Romero's "Dawn of the Dead", known by the title "Zombi" (1978).

This European cut was edited under producer Dario Argento's supervision. It concentrated more on the action while Romero's version had more character development in it. This version was a bit shorter but also contained footage that Romero did not use.

The whole Italian soundtrack was performed by the progressive rock band, Goblin (Argento's regular choice for film compositions). The atmosphere of some scenes completely changed due to the music.

Romero's version only used a few songs from Goblin's album "Zombi". Those were "L'alba Dei Morti Viventi", "Zombi" and "La Caccia". The rest of the score was taken from different sources.

Goblin members at the time were:
-Claudio Simonetti (keyboards)
-Fabio Pignatelli (bass)
-Massimo Morante (guitar)
-Agostino Marangolo (drums)

These tracks are immensely popular since they were both included in the American cut. In this version, however, they were used extensively.

One of the best films in existence and certainly the biggest zombie spectacle there ever was!
