I like both the Police and Elvis Costello. I happen to prefer the Police, but I can respect someone who likes Elvis Costello better. But to say the margin between them is measured in CHARGED PARTICLES--wow, that, I must confess, is really saying something.

I think Mother and Someone to Talk To should have swapped places, Someone... should have been on Synchronicity, Mother should have been a b-side.

Ms Gradenko I love, I think it sounds very King Crimson.

You obviously haven't listened to American Top 40 since 1983. Not that I suggest doing that, mind you but do some research before you post such an ignorant comment. You are ultimately saying that you prefer the number one hits of Timbaland, Mariah Carey, Boyz II Men, etc. If this IS the music you're into, well, that explains everything.

Devoguy is right, tiger. That's why Copeland (jokingly) called Sting a trollup (sp.) for KISSING UP to him and Summers. lol

I stand (or sit) corrected! Thanks, Ronny. By the way, what IS a crawler??? We don't use that word in Canada!

I think it's like you said "kissing up" or in Australia we'd say "sucking up" to get someone on side, at least that's how I interpret it but I could be wrong

Interesting example - I would bet that even Sting would agree that Every Breath is a simple throw off pop factory hit. But dig just a bit deeper, frank. I'm guessing you are NOT a musician.

It's not about being a musician and flaunting musical gymnastics, but about being an artist and understanding drama.

I'm just saying, from a musician's viewpoint, these guys were THE BAND that took punk rock into a more progressive path, and infused jazz methods and intricate rhythms that were never used before. It's not gymnastics, it's art.
