@TheSLICKRICK1954 It was a Mod thing. If you were someone cool, you were a "face". And all the guys in the band were kind of short (Plonk's bass wasn't really that big, it just looked that way on him), so they became the "small faces".

What a Classic Band there is nothing like these guys around these days, it's all teenie bop music. Small Faces are a true classic band. I saw a doco on Ronnie Lane very sad his blindness then death.Steve Marriot was with Peter Frampton in a band called Humble Pie.Good on you Steve Marriot.

Steve Marriot, best soul-rock singer bar none. Rod Stewart, Robert Plant and Mick Jagger couldn't even get close enough to spit and polish the man's boots.
