This appeals to the niche that understand the terms. That's why it's funny, because we get it and they don't. But that's Ok, whatever reason it is, it's still fun and we should enjoy it

@Delathblue Well there are a couple reasons:

1) First and foremost they just sound good. They could be singing in Japanese... this song actually got stuck in my head

2) Second, while I don't understand this, I do consider myself a math nerd and appreciate groups like this in general

3) I co-author a webcomic about math and physics so I know how hard it is to make this stuff funny (and rhyme and make sense on top of that!) which I can tell is true from the helpful laugh track

I would agree that they sound good. And it got stuck in my head too, so I can't challenge that. Is your web-comic published? I read them, I enjoy them. And what do you mean you appreciate groups like this in general?
