Hi, how do you switch so fucking fast between sub weapons? I tried it but it takes me about .5 of a second to switch back to the hammer and I've fallen halfway by then. I can barely do 2 hammer jumps let alone the ones you do. Please help me with a full explanation on how you swtich between sub weapons. Thanks

Hello. The most important thing that you must remember is that you're in less of a hurry to do the trick than you think. Wait until the weapons screen has faded out, only then press R2 and L1 (in a quick succession). Also read the other replies I've written to comments for this vid, there's more info there.

Too bad akheon. Would have been nice to swim this early on. But I think it would have had issues later on. The entire first part of this game is centered around a number of phases battling the giant. The speed via a swimming glitch may have been wasted since defeating each of his forms cues the next scene.

I still have trouble doing more than two Hammer raises in the air. Any suggestions?

Yeah, you most likely wouldn't be able to get by the second Colossus with swimming. But it would've been just for fun.

A way I haven't tested yet is trying to approach the first bathing room outside the walls, but it's too difficult to do it.

It's just a matter of timing. You're in less of a hurry than you think. Wait in the weapons menu a bit. Switch weapons and do MotK only after the weapons menu has completely faded out.

Thanks. I'll have to test that. had no idea that staying in the menu longer would make a difference. Biggest problem is that when I would exit the menu and press R2 to pull out my sub weapon, the game would act as though I never pressed R2 and then it would just be a blade attack.

i tested you glitch discovery on the foot push thing with Colossus. I can attack him but I can't get anywhere near his wrists to initiate the mini games. I also got two other odd glitches to work. I will email you.

The game has some sub-weapon glitch which makes real-time switching impossible at some periods. Try this, for example: jump into a damaging platform (like the unslowed millwheel at River of the Forgotten), and instantly change weapons via the weapons menu. When you come back to the game, Kratos can't put sub-weapon active at all for a while.

With mere (first-time) changing it happens too. It could be a different phenomena, though, related to weapon information loading slowly.

All very nice, but fruitless in the end. How sad. They did say they were trying harder to 'cockblock' such glitching. (that's the feeling I got anyway) They certaily fucked over the Homerun effect. (twice if you count the CoO Demo) It is what makes finding a way around their safegaurds that much sweeter. Apparently they don't understand that part of their base (the hardcore portion) likes these things...

It's counterproductive for them to reduce the ways people can play their games. Sure, NURs and stuff like that are a given, but a true pacifist run? Imagine how cool would that be.

It would be nice to allow for a great variety of run types in planning. Clearly GoW1's Clone Fight didn't have NUR/NUR+ conditions in mind in the slightest. GoWII had specialty runs in mind for certain but instead of progressively tending to the interest of speedrunners/glitchers, they fought savagely to find ways to reduce it to just beating things to death in a hurry. At least half the game has been broken but GoW1 is just so much better suited to that sort of thing.

Homeruns..my favorite

Yeah, firing the rock at him brings him to the battle mode.
