"The Masochism Tango" was republished in a 4:3 HQ-version in August 2009. The song is a typical Tom Lehrer original comment and this song will live forever. It really is a timeless gem!

In 1998 Lehrer hosted a radio show on BBC Radio 2, stating that he was inspired to write "The Masochism Tango" after hearing Tony Martin singing a song called "Kiss of Fire". You can hear Lehrer talking about the song here:
