It's like through the music he is screaming all the love he is hiding to keep her safe from guilt. Maybe I'm completely wrong, but that's what I feel every time I listen. A desperate man, madly in love, who can't express it with words because it's forbidden.

Either my English is not that good, or I got the lyrics from a whole other point of view. I took it, like he loves her, but because he wants to protect her from feeling guilty, he agreed to lie. That she wants him to lie, to be able to continue. She wants to pretend it's something cheap and raw because she couldn't stand to love two persons. Something like that, I can't explain it easily in English, it's not my mother language.

whiteduke, anger is often a cover for sadness, just fyi. if u've ever been lied to by a lover, u might understand where i'm coming from. and yes, i'm sweet and fun and usually not angry, and i'm apparently attractive too. u have no idea, actually, how sweet i am, right up until my lover sent this song. it carries a message for me, not a nice one. i'm sure the song is a good one, just not for me, in this case.
