Obama Civilian Security

I dont agree with alot of what president obama says But

1. He is our president. he deserves respect.

2. Civilian Security already exists. its called Militia.

he doesnt need to make one. i would love to see president obama out with a militia, talking with them, and shooting guns with them.

Wilson had the same sort of thing and he used it to keep people from challenging the administratiion's policies. Remember Noriega's "dignity battalions"? Scary stuff. This didn't sound like the sort of group that would be picking trash along the interstate.

As for the Denver Post article, that is just a rumor perpetuated by faux-conservative bloggers like HotAir.

panzerkeil- There apprently were some edits to the speech from the transcript released to the press prior to the speech.

The 2 "transcripts" I found DID NOT include these lines. The Denver Post published this "transcript" with these lines excised. Even the Whitehouse took this speech off their site. If all he's talking about is volunteer feel-good groups, why would they do this?! WHAT THE HELL IS A CIVILIAN NATIONAL SECURITY FORCE???

Well, it's been stated 10 or 20 times, but it's retired veteran's groups like ones that volunteer at Walter reed, groups like Americorps that encourage you people to rebuild their communities, etc.
