FINALLY! For years and years my mother never believed that when I was little, a Tui talked to me at the zoo while her back was turned. For years I've been certain that it did!
Watching this on TV last night was hilarious, I LOVE that he has an accent! I could finally turn to her and say SEE?! IT DID TALK!
You guys are doing a fantastic job with the birds - we've raised a few of our own and helped wild ones where we could. Good to see some people really dedicated to such a noble cause!
hi Robert - i was at the recovery centre about ?14 years ago and there was a talking bird at the centre, but I remember it as a starling (it talked and coughed). Am I correct or was it this tui?
Hi The bird you saw about 14 yrs ago was a starling and he did say "Hows your cold" and cough as well. Woof Woof the talking Tui has come along since then, hes' now about 12 yrs old and he has an even bigger reange of phrases as you have seen on the video.
Hey there, just saw this on TV One tonight, the show with Jeremy Wells (I think lol) Have to say, Woof-Woof is awesome. Never knew Tui's had 2 voiceboxes or that they could even speak. Absolutely awesome!
