It never ceases to stun me the abuse of technology - beating up on Catholics? And you say you are a Christian? I am a Christian, brought up Anglican, but happened to find a superb church nearby which happens to be Catholic. So I joined it. Confession is great - it is like conselling. You talk any problems through. I went through a family feud recently and the priest in the confessional was really sympathetic and lifted my heart.

John146Jesus - Catholics taught you and your ancestors who Jesus was and that he forgives sins.

Jesus forgives sins directly. Catholic and Orthodox Priests and Bishops can also forgive sins in Jesus name, because Jesus gave them that power.

Jesus apostles could also forgive sins in Jesus' name. This is how Jesus established the sacrament of confession.
22And when He had said this, He breathed on them and said to them, "Receive the Holy Spirit.

23"(A)If you forgive the sins of any, their sins have been forgiven them; if you retain the sins of any, they have been retained."

John146Jesus - There are numerous verses in bible that shows that you should confess your sins to other people also, in addition to confessing to God.

'Therefore, confess your sins to one another, and pray for one another so that you may be healed. The effective prayer of a righteous man can accomplish much.' James 5:16

Confess your sins to your other fellow Protestants, in addition to confessing to God. This will be good for your spiritual healing.

I'm not, nor have I ever been, Catholic (I'm an active member of my local protestant church) but it is a shame how Protestants have ostracized the Catholic Church.

I watched this video so I could learn more about my Catholic brothers. I believe Protestants could stand to learn more about confession (though not necessarily to a priest). "Confess your sins one to another..." Often we hide too much.

And of course Catholics don't worship Mary. Saying so betrays an ignorance of Catholic doctrine.

One question for all the people fighting: If you're not Catholic (as the dude said below, meaning Roman Catholic Orthodox, Coptic, Old Catholic, Anglican, and Lutheran), why did you watch "How To Go To Confession"??

Not just that text. Do you remember the part of the Gospel where Jesus healed a paralytic that was lowered down through a roof of a house that was really crowded in Mark 2?

I dnt know if u remember details,
but Jesus forgave his sins first and then healed him, to show the pharisees that He has power over Heaven and earth.
