There is a way to realise how stupid things have gotten. If you are in debt, and are being hassled on the phone by whoever, credit card collections, bank collections, ask them what happens if you dont pay?

humanity is such a subserviant thing. We are so filled with fear. Fear of loss being the most prominent thing. We fear loss of our homes, our jobs, our pointless distractions. But these things mean nothing, as money means nothing. We value these thigns only because of the fear that we might lose them.Does our lives really lose anything if we cant watch the X Factor, or our soap operas? Do we really lose anything if we cant buy label brand clothing? have we become that shallow and escapist?

Lol, have you even been to India?

Lets face it, your not really an Indian. Youre a rich american, and privilaged to even have an internet connection to spout your crap on.

If you were Indian, the memory and aims of Gandhi, who fought his entire life (and died) for liberty and peace, regardless of race and religion would be important to you.

If youre an Indian, youre attitude insults his memory, you ignorant peon.

I think it is important to focus on satyagraha and the positive contribution this has had to such things as the civil rights movement in the US. I honestly believe that if enough people adopted this method of resistance real change is possible in the world today and the world in the near future, where things will certainly get worse. Change is coming, and it will be painful and tragic....but maybe these things are the things that make humanity stand up and pay attention.
