The D7 you played in the first 10 seconds of the video sounded out of tune with the other chords - which I've heard before on some washburns. I like the Takamine's better.

Like I told before, a Jumbo is wider than a Dreadnought, but not necessarily bigger. There are Dreadnought with slim bodies and there are Dreads fatter than a Thanksgiving turkey, like mine. In fact, I have two Dreads: the EAN10C I mentioned before and an Alvarez MD80-12. The Alvarez is noticeably slimmer than the Takamine.

Any jumbo I ever played was quite a bit bigger....which is why they call it a "jumbo". I compared a Gibson J-300 custom to my '69 Yamaha dread and it was much bigger. Perhaps you're confusing "grand auditorium" with "jumbo". I have a crafter grand auditorium that's roughly the shape of a jumbo, but it's the same size as a dread.

I certainly know the difference between a Grand Auditorium and a Jumbo. In fact, I've played Jumbos before (Taylor 615c) and I can cofirm my words. BTW, do you know where the word "dreadnought" comes from?

Actually yes I do. It's a term coined by Martin guitars after the war ships called "dreadnoughts", which meant "very large", among other things. Very large in comparison to the guitars before the dreadnought which were mostly parlour sized guitars.

The fact is that Jumbos and Dreads are the biggest guitar models. I like them both, but I prefer Dreads over Jumbos. Maybe because here in PR you see so very few Jumbos and a LOT of Dreadnoughts.
