Surprisingly effective version of this classic. Bob Seger is one of the true underrated talents of the 1970's. Actually, he has quite an emotive voice, particularly well-suited for songs with a slightly bittersweet edge to them. I remember visiting my extended family in Jackson, MI back in the early 70's -- they would be enthusing about fellow Michigander Bob Seger this & that - I'd think "Who is Bob Seeger". Well, shortly after he went national and answered that question! Good job here, Bob!

This is the best chrismas song! it sends shivers down my spine.

Totally moving and with total feeling!

We should remember who the song is about and how he gave us our lives to live the best we can as he will always be there for us all no matter what colour/creed/faith.
