"Mysterious forces" my ass. It's a simple matter of centripetal forces and moments.

Lol this thing is kinda "fun" to use but it really helps to block out scenes if you are doing narrative work so you dont have to wear it for that long.

Forgot to add, the pilot is amazing. Used an xh-a1 Canon and this thing kicks serious ass.

And if you showed up on a Hollywood set with that, you would never get hired again. If you want to make $2000 a year doing pro video work, that method may work for you. But if you want to get hired on sets that get you $200,000 + a year, you'd better suck it up and get the overpriced equipment. It pays for itself in multiples, and it shows that filmmaking is not just a joke to you. Appearance is everything in Hollywood, even behind the camera.

My last comment was directed toward jeystonemusic's plastic bag idea. Strange how YouTube arranges comments now.

Quality? A plastic bag vs. a CNC machined stabilizer? To each his own, I guess. I believe in talent/quality too. That's why I work 2,000 miles away from Hollywood. Unfortunately, in the US, if you do any type of legit film work, you will have to deal with studios in Hollywood. Otherwise, your work is still considered amateur, no matter how good it is. I don't know how it works in the UK, since the only major film studio I know of is Leavesden, and they work closely with Hollywood too.

@StillFramePictures

the plastic bag idea is a bit extreme. But if a ppir man steadycam provides as good as a result, why would they accept it?
