This might sound stupid but i'm really curious...

The violinist's last name is KRISHNAswamy, but the don't the white lines on his forehead mean that he's a Shiva devotee?

His surname wouldn't determine his sectarian affiliation.

FYI, Adi Sankarar in his Gita Bhashyam quotes Sri Narayana to be the Brahman. So some scholars debate that Adi Sankara Bhagavatpada was a Vaishnavite by religion but advaitin by philosophy.

An Advaitin considers all gods as the same, be it shiva or indra or Vishnu or Ayyanar, because it considers all these gods to be ultimately illusionary and unreal. An advaitin follows Shan-Mata Shaivam,Vaishnavam, Shauryam,Kaumaram,Shaktyam,Ganapatyam. You could worship any god but ultimately one will come to realize its all unreal. But to Vaishnavite schools, since the existence of God is real apart from a Jivatma, they consider everything to be different and there is a taratamyam(gradation).

Actually, Krishnaswamy could also be a Iyengar/Vaishnavite/Vishnu devotee name. He has' Krishnaswamy because he's an Advaitist (or however you spell it), and they count everygod as the same so yeah i think thats it. i'm like 14 mistake me if im wrong lol

Why does (Sundarambal) iyengar's have problem with Shiva? Even Vishnu has accepted and prays Shiva and his son Ganesha before doing anything.

The combination of Bharathiyar's lyrics and Nithyasree's voice. Madly fantabulous. I love this song.
