why do the obama's talk about their hard times in every speech and debate? Is this a tactic to get sympathy votes or something, or do they just wanna remind us constantly about their troubles?

Because you want better for your children and the educational system in America is not the same... as it is now... we have accepted the way it is but it is not a good education

I think her point was that things aren't as good as they used to be, including public schools. She was saying that she is an example of what public schools could produce when public education is given the attention and priority that it should be given.
