Daleks Are Awesome! Exterminate!

A very nice short. The final shot of synchronised camera-staring is very effective. But what is the red dalek supposed to be? If it's the Supreme, what's the Black one there for?

There have always been at least two senior ranks of Dalek. In the first movie, there was a black leader and a red 'general'.

In the TV stories 'The Black Dalek' seemed to be a rank in its own right. For example, he was the leader of the Dalek invasion of Earth, with a stripy second-in-command. Then in Planet of the Daleks 'The Supreme Council' member was yellow & black.

In the new series Sec is Black and the Supreme is red (The Stolen Earth came after I did this video), so it changes around!

I think the red dalek is the supreme dalek general which maybe part of the high council, their may have been a supreme black dalek watching from far away.

Could I possibly use a few seconds of this for my fan series adventure, you will be credited and I'll sub

This is great! When the Black Dalek turns to the Throne Room, I can imagine him saying "ADVANCE!"

I have to say I prefer this to the red Dalek supreme with the daft struts. This would have been dead scarey in the real show and a nice bit of cntinuity.

very nice but to my knowlage (i may be wrong) but doesnt the supreme dalek have three dome lights and 3 struts reaching from his nec to his shoulders? i may be wrong but i im sure its right.

You are correct, however I did this animation before a 'Supreme Dalek' had been seen in the new series. I think I did this a couple of months before 'The Stolen Earth'.
