In the natural fighting, these are very important things. You are lucky he's my student, otherwise he hit me on the knee.

KK should change their rules and allow MMA type gloves in competition for head shots...I mean c'mon. They'd be kicking twice as much ass if they did.

full contact stand up without boxing gloves doesnt really exist outside of kudo (they use a faceguard ),mma and burmese boxing.Certainly the kk defense would have to improve to deal with head punches, theyd be slaugthered otherwise.

There is Karate with punches to the head, but the most famous Karate is called Kyokushin, which is the one where they dont punch the head. They train for punching the head with helmets in practice for real life, but in competition no head shots from hands, only kicks. Look in my favorits, you have to view all and go to the last page, its the first video I favorited, it shows badass head shot Karate, what it really looks like! You will like it! lol

Yeah, I don't enjoy the on the ground thing... sometimes its after the fight is even over, there'll be a parting shot to an unconcious opponent! Disgraceful!

But i think punches to the head add a lot, this fight is the perfect example, the winner would have been destroyed if face shots were allowed, given how far he leaned in, he left his jaw wide open rather a lot... He probably would have had a very different strategy if he knew his head was a target.

absolutely,kk definitely suffers when head punches allowed, look at the kk lads when they first started k1.The thing is in self defense people never hit the body its all head instinctively.
