On the water you have plenty space to tow behind a vehicle why not tow additional solar panels on a catamaran and use the front for sails. Build the boat so the solar panels can be slid into the mother ship in the event she encounters strong weather that can damage the panels ansl you can pull in panels for night sailing.

Look at all that surface area where there are no solar cells.

It would probably be illegal to make this anyway as SolarSailor has panted pretty much anything that has to do with putting solar panels on boats.
