Amy Goodman is one of most active left-wing journalist as you probably already know. She is very active with her show 'Democracy Now'. Here's an interview with her made in St.Louis Missouri during the 2005 National Conference of Media Reform. In 'BRAINWASH?', she delivers a powerful statement on how Corporate Media plays a big role in helping Bush and his gang promiting the war machine and the Iraq war. A must see.

"The business of the journalists is to destroy the truth; to lie outright; to pervert; to vilify; to fawn at the feet of mammon, and to sell his country and his race for his daily bread." - John Swinton, Chief of Staff for the New York Times in 1953.
LOL! The "left wing" "right wing" scwabbling on here is exactly what the government wants, divide and conquer. Liberal Pussies! Neo-con Fascist! lol, You might as well be bitching about how Pepsi is better than Coke! lmao! Fools
The fact that you modify the word "news" with an adjective shows that you don't understand what news really is. News is facts. Period. Those facts are neither liberal, nor conservative - they just are. Thus, there can be no conservative news, nor liberal news. There can only be news. The fact that you add the "conservative" description, demonstrates that you want a biased, talk show approach rather than facts that you don't like. Please, open your mind and maybe some truth can get in.
Show me a 100% un-biased journalist and I will consent to your opinion. Amy Goodman goes out of her way in most occasions, as far as I can tell, to find the truth regardless of her pre-established notions or opinions, something which most media centers today fail to do; they have an agenda, they need stories to support it, they find those stories and present them. And she does have a talk-show which she hosts. BTW I'm a conservative constitutionalist.
It's the fact that she can't cover a story without giving us her pre-established opinion. Since she has a talk show then fine, she can say whatever she wants there, but as a news journalist it's her job to present me with the news, not her agenda for dealing with it.
It's not just Goodman either, I find that as you pointed out, it seems as though no one is capable of this anymore. It just chaps my ass that the news has basically become a giant dime-store sermon for these journalists...
I agree with you there. I have become more and more frustrated with the difficulties I have to endure just to get a couple slivers of unadulterated truth and fact about what is, and has been, going on. I just personally find that some of her presentations, with hosts especially, are not entirely based upon supporting evidence for an underlying agenda. I think she raises alot of questions that should be answered, but I wish SHE, olr another journalist, would be the one to answer many of them...
Yes that is something that I feel to be quite hypocritical of them. To raise an arguing statement, or to create a level of, I'd go so far to say that some create propaganda, without taking the time to also explain the means as to how they arrived at that standing, seems to be a very backwards approach to "presenting us the truth..."
