The Myth of Man made Global Warming

The oil companys are pretending to be against the idea of man made global warming while simultaniously supporting and pushing it.

deefree79- How can the solar system's planets all be warming due to the sun as you claim when the solar irradiance output has been stable since the 50s? And they are not all warming anyway- Uranus is alleged to be cooling down at the same time as Mars is supposedly warming.
So, can we finally lay this Martian warming crap to rest?

Ech1dna.... just because the sun's irradiance is called a constant doesn't mean it is stable. Before making claims like that, know what you speak of.. From 1980 to 1985 the sun's irradiance decreased and then stayed a constant until 1987. After mid 1987 the irradiance increased, as was reported by Science magazine in 1989. So it is not stable. Secondly, solar flares affect more than just temperature with it's x-ray and uv radiation output. Also i never said all planet's were affected..

...Ech1dna, also Uranus cools down while mars is warming makes sense.. Uranus is the coldest planet and one of the largest. It's also further away than mars and earth and is made up of entirely ice. It's atmosphere doesnt work the same way as earth or mars. It would be a real big shock if it warmed up. This is why i said some planets are warming up. So no i won't lay this "martian warming" crap to rest. Solar activity is the main reason why our planet significantly warms and cools..

As you know the IPCC produced a myraid scenarios and story lines. All said that as CO2 rose, so temperature would rise in lockstep. It has not happened and every one of them are now proven wrong. Of course after the non-warming was made public they tried to wriggle by saying the warming really was there but hidden by some sort of cooling effect, but watch out, it would return with a vengeance.

If there is any proof humans are causing warming, let's see it.

i don't know how much background knowgledge you have about GCMs, but to sum it up: observed climate variance of times of increased emissions deviates significantly from what it would be with only natural factors (as described in models).

which IPCC statement has been "proven" wrong?

i wasn't talking about the difference between predicting weather and observing it, but your response was probably not to my post then.

how come you are so convinced humans have no part in it? what is your criticism about climate models? take this opportunity to talk to someone who works with climate models and is involved in their programming.

And yes, i know the difference between predicting weather and observing it. In observing actually, the temperature has dropped in the last 10 years, especially in the last three. The forecasting is the bigger issue. Is it getting warmer globally, yes.. and again to reiterate my entire point, it's not caused by humans.

damn straight. I don't need science when I have my guts, that is all I need.
I just feel that global warming is bunk, so it has to be and even Bush said so.

...and cooling. To repeat, the "science" they use, is not calculated humidity and water vapor.. they input the info in their computers as humidity staying as a constant, while co2 rises and the temperature fluctuates. So, their claims are not totally accurate. that's been my argument since a couple of weeks of comments now.
