I agree, i pity Oscar for having it buried.
i actually find Beethoven to be the most profound, whereas Mozart is delightful, whimsical, a frivolous type of genius with occasional profundity( Jupiter, overture to die zauberflote, zu hilfe). Beethoven was morose and glorious, too.

I agree entirely, you put it very well. Personally the darker, more profound music of Beethoven appeals to me. Mozart always impresses and appeals to me mentally but he doesn't strike me in the heart nearly as often as Beethoven. Geniuses both.

Cheers, dude. And people can bicker for centuries more on this and never reach any resolution, so I would leave it in the past, to the consciences of the two men themselves... I bet they're both in heaven now, laughing their sweet asses off at this! :D
