I can't believe Christian Bale didn't get an Oscar for this, it's absolutely brillant.I love the ending of this scene where he like says he can't and smiles to her and then the next mili-micro-second the smile is gone... it's a killer (literally, lol).

I love this scene, because it has one of the best transitions ever - Batman looking eerily at a person on the street, and then we cut to him arguing with these people about stains, and we instantly have a very good idea what the stains are.

Plus, it's pretty funny - *Crazy! You're a fool! I can't cope with this STUPID BITCHING!" and then the "Next Saturday?" "Sure," :"Can't, I'm afraid."

This is one my favorite films, and Christian Bale is just fascinating to watch.
