you will probably end up with a bios beep code telling you a error

it doesn't matter which connection the HDD is using on the IDE cable, aslong as the jumper settings are correct.

or you could set both HDDs to "cable Select" and configure them from the BIOS.

so, all you need to do for a slave drive is hook up the IED? tat's it? what about power?
