You could also have mentioned Half-Life. First there's Half-Life, then comes Half-Life 2, but then comes Half-Life 2: Episode 1, Half-Life 2: Episode 2 and now Half-Life 2: Episode 3 is in development. Why couldn't they just call it Half-Life 3, 4 & 5?

the Naked gun ones are excused because its a joke.

so are the Star trek ones after the 6th movie it had very little to do with Star trek anyway.

A reply and a continued comment to DunderFizken91, James the numbers are what you called for shits and giggles. I found out that in late 2010, Leslie Neilson is making Naked Gun 4: Rhythm of Evil. Ok but what the fuck? The first and second Naked Gun is in a somewhat chronological order but then 33 and a third I agree. But then theres comes an upcoming Naked Gun with the number plain 4? what the fuck?
