I was just about to say the same thing. This of cause is interesting because it shows that 'warm-bloodedness' has evolved two separate times.

Actually, there's evidence that certain archosaurs were warm blooded too. The evolution of endothermic bodies might go back further that we'd expect.

That said, the eye evolved several times, so there's nothing really to say warm-bloodedness didn't also evolve twice.

Birds are descended from archosaurs and dinosaurs which were warmblooded. The endothermy there is monophyletic.

I'm just also pointing that it's always possible for the same thing to evolve twice in different ways. :)
