This is an unedited audio tape from the CN Railway made during a runaway train with resulting derailment in the New Brunswick area of Canada back in 1987.
The Engineer was still on board during the entire runaway incident.. These are the actual radio transmissions made during the incident. The text I have provided is my own interpretation of what is happening for those less familiar with railroad communications, procedures and lingo.
