See if you guys can find an old video compilation VHS called LOOK LOOK by XTC tracks are: Tracks: 1. This Is Pop; 1. Statue Of Liberty; 3. Are You Receiving Me?; 4 Life Begins At The Hop; 5. Making Plans For Nigel; 6. Tower Of London; 7. Respectable Street; 8. Generals And Majors; 9. All Of A Sudden; 10. Ball And Chain; 11. Senses Working Overtime. Colin was going to release it on DVD, but now it seems he has lost interest
This just may be from a video tape I sent to someone in Knoxville. It looks like its from a spotlight that did on Much Music. I used to bug the hell out of them to play XTC videos. Especially the videos I rarely saw of theirs including this one.
That may very well be true. I live in London, but downloaded this from a fileshare site back in 2003 (I think?) It's not impossible that whoever you sent the tape to uploaded it there, and I ended up copying it over to here.
Heard this covered by Jim Moray at the Cambridge folk festival two weeks ago-I gigged there too boast boast. With respect to Mr. Moray I prefer Mr. Partridge`s version. Good songs will live on !
Every time I hear this song I go back: 1985, Berlin Germany, the Stardust disco near McNair Kaserne. Man, those were the days. As for the band Andy did try too hard to be different, but otherwise XTC always had great tunes.
