I was blessed to have been in my early 20s during this time and to see how people modified their vans. I remember going to the drive-in and watching this and the Pom-Pom girls and Malibu Beach. I'm sorry to hear about the guy who played Duggan had died a few years back. Things were so different back in the 70s, the music,TV shows, the cars.

At least there weren't nanny laws in the 1970s like there is today like, bicycle helmet laws, seat belt laws, motorcycle helmet laws etc.
New Hampshire is the only state left that's truly free!

Love your caption "people were dumb". It's true. I feel strangely soiled seeing this movie again. God, what a song.
Now I gotta look up "moonlight feels right".

Most cars back then got much less mileage than they do now. They had just started the CAFE standard in 1975 and the engine management computers were primitive by today's standards. Still, I wouldn't mind being able to by gas at mid-1970's prices, even if for one day.
