I practice Bretts programme already a month and also take voice lessons with local teacher, but she has another technique, she tells me to take a deep breath before avery phrase and to work with diaphragm. Can anyone tell me if it is right or not? the reason i bought this programme was to encrease my range and because of confusion between two techniques my range is still the same as it was. :(
I'm a professional singer and I would strongly advise you to continue studying with someone who tells you to breathe deeply and work with the diaphragm instead of what this guy "teaches".
i don't know that much about singing, but i would go ahead and say what "this guy" teaches obviously works. he's an amazing singer and so are his students.
practicing two types of advice, especially associated with vocal technique, will end up with one canceling out the other. try one or the other rather than both at the same time. i don't know your vocal teacher and i'm definitely not educated enough to make the decision on whether you should go with brett's program or live vocal lessons, but i would try talking with your voice teacher about what you want to achieve. it might help focus your learning on to range, vibrato, technique, etc.
Man, this guy is like a mad-scientist kinda crazy singer, lol. He's got that "eccentric" vibe :P... awesome stuff tho. i think i might get this program.
