can someone tell me how the funny 'keening' sound is made at 32secs in, i know its a funny bend, maybe a reverse bend, ive heard this before on a few jh tracks but wud like to know what ftechnique is getting chapped out, thanks in advance for totally ignoring this
thats a bloody difficult little trick, especially considering in this case he's doing it way down on the 2nd/3rd fret. Basically it's when you bend up a string (usually bend it a tone at least), and with your other finger quickly transfer onto the next lowest string (in this case from the B to the G), which is already being pushed up by your initial bend. It's a normal bend that then transfers to a pre-bend.
I tried to explain that the best I could haha, it's a lot easier to show it but it's taken me a long time to even be able to do it comfortably. Great effect, aye?
aye great wisdom from the tree there, its a brilliant sound he gets, there is other tracks this lick is on but im strugglin to find them. seems pretty original jh shit but maybe not, who can say not i, some smart ass will know, you smart ass go on then?
