are you having a laugh davis a gent,he was and always was an arrogant so and so,to see davis face after losing was priceless,and to barley shake alex's hand after beating him,disgraceful.davis a sore loser more like.

Davis was and still is a true gent...Higgins was the yobbos champion. Not the people's champion.

I doubt very much if Davis feared Higgins on or off the table. The fact that the man didn't act the lad does not mean he was a wimp. He had the steel and personality to dominate his generation...including Higgins. Indeed Higgins himself pointed out that his previous recoveries had been against "less formidable" poopsition. It was the fact aht it was Davis which made that comeback special.

Davis was 7 0 up lol. Great comeback by Alex :). I love after shaking hands Steve gets his chalk out and chalks his cue LOL.

I'm sure Davis worries about Higgins being more popular when he looks at his trophy cabinet and bank balance!!

davis hated higgins at the time.. or more was terrified of him

lets face it.. steve david was the school nerd.. higgins was the school cool kid.

davis grew up to love him though.. and greatly respect him.

Alex Higgins was rock n roll...Davis was more Horlicks and slippers. Bless him! ;)
