They look wide awake to me for nocturnal owls. The "Possum Lady" who rescues wildlife, is currently rearing 8 froggies from one abandoned nest.

geez they are stunning, and for the record not owls...they have their own class in taxonomy because of the differences to owls, the large beak is one, and the fact they only eat insects (unlike owls which also can eat animals)is another, cant remember all the rest!
