Heard it too... How times have moved on (sadly) . God.. ..just imagine what the PC brigade would have to say about a song talking about putting beans in your ears! The elf and safety brigade would have a field day too.

Thank you for posting this! My mother saying "That's nice, just don't put beans in your ears" was a running joke the whole time I was growing up.  Whenever we kids asked anything silly, or were being annoying, that was the answer we'd get!
