gabbe7 - Aquinas is not a source of facts. Aquinas is a source of spiteful justifications for inquisitions, witch burnings, torture, murder and christian fairy tales.

Try reading some Aquinas. Try keeping your lunch down as you do.

gabbe7,
My quantum mechanical explanation of spontaneous motion is a well proven priciple called 'Hawking Radiation'. Look it up. I understand a fair amount of quantum machanics and HR is a proven theory.
I do not like debating creationists. Anyone who disputes the fact of evolution likely does not actually know what it is, so do me the justice of explaining your understanding of the theory of evolution - then I will actually take your opinions on board.
:-)

Another post to expand on my previous post.
Humans were not their own designer. Evolution was. Evolution is not chance, nor design. It is however a process and one that is not disputed and easily provable by science.
Please don't assume that religious minorities with ideas based on 2000year old scripture can prove the entire world's scientists wrong in a youtube video.

You show an overwhelming ignorance of science, and ought to read up on your subjects.

@Lepilad science is facts this video submits facts, science proves god exists too. evolution is not in any way an explination to what we came from it has been shown that there is no evolutionary evidence for a true beginning it keeps going back

To expand on ogriv101's point:
E=mc^2. Matter is a form of energy.
This is proof that things can, and do, move on their own without something to 'push' them. For example, take some nothing. According to quantum mechanics, this nothing can split into a particle and an antiparticle. Their net energy is 0, but their motion is positive.
Therefore, motion can and does get created.
And in what way is fire the 'maximum heat"? Fire is oxidation, and not as hot as fusion, for example.

Fail!

@Lepilad are you listening to what you are saying I think that you need to really study quantum physics

I ove Aquina's philosophy, but he's wrong in the first one. Quantum mechanical sciences have shown that at a subatomic level, motion can happen without something else forcing it to do motion.

Thouhg Aquinas was on the right track on his argument from contingency, today in day we see his argument to be flawed.

@timmcfly15 No in the philosophy of Aristotle God is the uncaused cause. Aquinas said that God's essence is to exist. He is the one necessary being by definition. You can dispute that such a being exists, but you can't dispute the definition. You can't demand that an uncaused being have a cause but you can question whether such Being exists.

that is why we use aquinas' thought process because it is most logical and timmcfly15 you still don't get it, god is a necessary being and therefore is eternal

As a matter of fact he did not, he just proved that something that is, must be created by something else... still that does not mean that god created everything, just because we cant prove otherwise...
