A son goes to his mother with a compelling secret. Will she understand?
A quirky comedy recently given it's first terrestial TV viewing on BBC2's See Hear programme, on 23rd January 2008. Written by Charlie Swinbourne and directed by Louis Neethling (who also directed BBC2's 'Switch'), Coming Out has won numerous awards since it was filmed in the space of one day in South London, in the last days of 2006.
The film was made for the London Deaf Film Festival and premiered in January 2007. It stars David Hay, Debbie Norman and Ilan Dwek.
The film has so far played at film festivals over the world and went on to win the prestigious Clin d'Oleil European Video award in Rheims, France in the summer of 2007, then Best Foreign Film at the 1st Finnish Deaf Film Festival 2007, and finally won Best British Film at DEAFFEST in Wolverhampton, UK in November 2007.

Oh man. This made my day. Loved the part where it shows him reading the sign language magazine. X3 This film makes me giggle so much! Wonderful! I think this is by far my favorite short film this year!
