This is a film of immense power. One of Cinema's greatest studies in alienation at the modern world. Borgarde was perfect for this role. There's no DVD of this film, sadly.
I saw this film in German dubbed to Russian, and in German version Dirk - Hermann sounds more campy, more emotional,
in this English one, I think he is dry and...somehow strict
don't know what language was the main, German or English...I've read that Dirk for this role found out any Prussian accent, then, film was shot in German???
