Hornby LMS Duchess re-worked

A project I undertook. It was really touch and go at one point. The spray paint was rubbish and the Fox Transfers (although they are superb!) really were beyond my skill range to apply accurately...

Thanks Rusty but if you see it really close up, you might decide it's not THAT good! I so admire the guys who can turn out perfect lining on a loco. Alas, I'm not one of them but enjoyed having a go!

On the Fox transfer sheet you get the yellow and black lining seperately. You apply the yellow first (1.2mm wide) and when that's dry, apply the 0.5mm wide black strip on top. There's no carrier film on these transfers so they are very delicate.
I have to say I'm quite pleased with my first effort. I have a GWR King class that I might change to lined BR black.

The track's called 'I'm going to bring a watermelon to my girl tonight' from 'Dog Ends' album by the Bonzo Dog band. Terrific, isn't it?
I'm tempted to use 'My brother makes the noises for the talkies' track for the Dave 2 vid!!!
